It has been examined by a master valuer, and a retail replacement value of $660 Canadian was determined Most jewelers know diamonds very well, but little or nothing about colored gems. Master valuers are experts in all stones. Emeralds are particularly difficult to appraise, so in almost all instances, I leave it to a master.
