This ring features a blue sapphire, approx. .7cwt. The setting is approx 14k solid yellow gold (acid tested at 14K), but setting was made off shore and is not hallmarked. 20 2mm sapphire melee. I do not sell man made stones. All my gems are earth mined. Expect imperfections. Size7 Questions ..please ask.

Sapphires WHOLESALE to the trade today for approx. $50 for a 1 cwt stone of VERY low grade quality to approx. $3,000 for a one carat example of extra fine quality. Larger sizes increase cost dramatically. The price goes up to well over $20,000 or more per cwt. for extra fine larger examples. ($40,000 for unheated) The retail price will be several times that, depending on the retailers markup.
