THIS IS A GENUINE EARTH MINED Emerald. This Has been examined by a master valuer, and a retail replacement value of $695 Canadian was determined for the emerald before setting. . Most jewelers know diamonds very well, but little or nothing about colored gems. Master valuers are experts in all stones. An unsigned, unsealed copy of his report iis included. If you wish a copy signed and sealed by him, as i have partially paid for it, it can be arranged for an additional $30. IMPORTANT NOTE: Setting gemstones requires steady hands and good eyesight.... attributes I no longer have. So, I sell this with a rhodium plated silver setting, ready for you to set, or have someone set for you. There are YouTube videos on how to do this.... as long as you have the requirements mentioned re. hands and eyes. You may want to have a gold setting made for this gem, now or in the future.... but the silver setting is an attractive alternative that is included at no charge if you want to use it. Personally I see nothing wrong with rhodium coated settings, as they have the appearance of white gold. To me it is the main gemstone that is important, and I sell only earth mined genuine gems.
