IMPORTANT NOTE: For health reasons, I can no longer set gemstones. The setting is included at no additional charge, but you will have to have a jeweler set it for you. This gem deserves a gold setting. Get one at wholesale ,now or in future

The setting was custom made for the stone, in silver, with clear topaz accents.
Many of our stones 'deserve' gold settings, but I prefer to set in sterling. Most people cannot tell the difference between white gold and a sterling setting coated in rhodium to prevent tarnishing ( rhodium is more expensive than gold)
You can always have set in gold in the future if you wish...most people find our prices excellent for the gems alone, before setting accounted for.

Light pink. The color comes from trace amounts of manganese. Discovered in 1902, Kunzite is named after George Kunz, the chief jeweler of Tiffany and Co. at the time. Most Kunzite these days is irradiated to enhance the color. I prefer the subtle light pink of natural Kunzite.

My selling price is determined by what I had to pay. I used to buy gems in very large quantities, using the ones in sizes I could use, putting aside the others. I am selling all my stock now. Many were purchased years ago

Better gems and jewelry items are kept in bank vault for security purposes and retrieving an item can cause a slight shipping delay. I usually only visit the bank Monday mornings, and then ship UPS. If you buy an item on a Monday afternoon, your purchase may not go out until the following week. If you need in hurry, please contact me first and I will tell you if I can make a trip up to retrieve before the usual visit. Will try to help if I can.

Supply and demand rules in true gem buying as in every other human investment.
Each earth mined gem is a unique work of art, unlike the lab produced stones that can be produced in unlimited quantities.
Some people will never understand why people buy an original work of art when they can buy a poster for next to nothing.
Earth mined gems are for those that do. Invest in quality.
