THIS IS A GENUINE EARTH MINED RUBY. Expect flaws and inclusions. I do not sell lab produced stones ,or glass filled rubies which are not considered real gems. Flawless genuine rubies are extremely expensive. Why Settle for Imitations?
This gem is approx. 1.0 cwt and shows evidence of heating. 95% of all rubies are heated to improve the clarity and it is totally accepted in the trade. Unheated are more expensive.

Ruby is the birth stone for those born in July. Traces of chromium are responsible for the color. Rubies are 9 on the moh's scale, right behind diamond ( moh's10)
Sapphires and rubies are the same gem ( corundum) , other than the color.
