This sapphire was appraised by a master valuer for $2,140 Canadian retail replacement value. Unsigned appraisal included at no charge. As I have already had appraised, if you want a signed , sealed copy for insurance purposes, one can be sent to you in your name for an additional $20. Master valuers are THE experts on coloured stones, and signed sealed appraisals from them are accepted by insurance companies as verified retail replacement value.

Appraisal was made BEFORE the stone was placed in a topaz accented silver setting, custom made for the stone.
Set by students, expect minor flaws ( prongs too long, stone not exactly set square, little rough around edges etc. ) Most people do not mind....but if you do, the price is right and you can have a qualified jeweler rectify.
Many of our stones 'deserve' gold settings, but I prefer to set in sterling. Most people cannot tell the difference between white gold and a sterling setting coated in rhodium to prevent tarnishing ( rhodium is more expensive than gold)
You can always have set in gold in the future if you wish...most people find our prices excellent for the gems alone, before setting accounted for.

All our gemstones are true gems, earth mined, not man made. EXPECT FLAWS! We provide unaltered pictures of the gem for you are very high magnification. Minor inclusions in any gem are not, as some think, a bad thing. They help a gemologist determine the authenticity of a gem. Man made gems are perfect.... but they are not real earth mined gems, and can be made in the millions, and do not increase in value. The difference between an original oil and a print. Supply and demand rules.
