THIS IS A GENUINE EARTH MINED Sapphire. Expect minor flaws . I do not sell lab produced or glass filled stones which are not considered real gems. Flawless genuine sapphires are rare and expensive. Flawless fakes and man made gems are plentiful and cheap.. Why Settle for Imitations? This gem is approx. 17.7cwt and I could see no evidence of heating. 95% of all sapphires are heated to improve the clarity and it is totally accepted in the trade. Unheated are more expensive.
