Using photographs as a starting point I use computer enhancement to produce these. They are then produced on canvas using the giclee method, acrylic on canvas. I then take the time to build a frame from solid oak, using a technique that employs two hidden screws at each corner to ensure a product that will endure. I also use another hardwood frame within the first to add additional strength and to produce the illusion known as a floating frame. I finish the frame by hand-sanding with 6 different grades of sandpaper, then finish with multiple coats of hand rubbed paste wax. It is a time consuming and labour intensive process that I believe sets off the work properly and provides a work of art that should become an heirloom. A work I am proud of, and hope you will be too.
